Kabinet Privé Valentine’s Day & Chinese New Year Luncheon

In celebration of Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year, Kabinet Privé hosted an appreciation luncheon for its clients.

Her Royal Highness Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom and Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hajjah Raghad Kurdi Taib graced the lavish event at The St Regis Kuala Lumpur as the guests of honour, accompanied by His Highness Tengku Arif Temenggong Pahang Tengku Fahad Muadzam Shah Ibni Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Mustain Billah.

In her welcome address, Kabinet Privé chief executive officer and founder Dato’ Sri Rozita Ramelan thanked the attendees for supporting the luxury retailer and concierge service over the years.

She said, “I started the business as a personal passion project because I saw the investment value of luxury handbags and high jewellery. According to research, over the last 35 years, Hermès Birkin bags have appreciated at an impressive return of over 14 percent a year, as compared to S&P 500 stocks at about 12 percent, and gold at just under 2 percent per year.

“Of course, knowing how to build your luxury-as-investment portfolio is key. I believe everyone in this room today are really smart. There are a few things that you should know. Which brands, models, and materials to invest in? When to buy, sell or hold? This is where my team and I at Kabinet Privé can help you. It is always such a lovely feeling to see your portfolio grow in your closet, especially when the value keeps growing as you wear or carry them,” Dato’ Sri Rozita added.

According to Dato’ Sri Rozita, Kabinet Privé unveiled a redesigned logo and website in January this year to meet the growing demand from its global clientele.

The event was also attended by fashion designer Dato’ Sri Bernard Chandran and his wife Datin Sri Mary Lourdes, Puan Sri Maznah Ismail, Kabinet Privé chairman Datuk Mohd Omar Mustapha, other distinguished guests and members of the press.

At the luncheon, Her Royal Highness Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hajjah Raghad Kurdi Taib and the guests took part in a yee sang ceremony to mark the occasion. The luncheon ended with a lion dance performance at The St Regis Boutique by Kabinet Privé.
